The 55th Annual Filmfare Awards ceremony will be held at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on February 27, but the organisers have yet to decide who will host the prestigious event.

Last year Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan entertained the audiences with their rib-tickling one-liners, but Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai is still uncertain about the hosts this year.

“Just hold your breath, wait and watch what’s in store,” said Pillai.

Organisers say this year they are not introducing any new award category.

“When we started, we had five categories of awards and now we have 37 categories in total. The growth has been remarkable. This year 111 movies are competing for the awards,” Tarun Rai, CEO of Worldwide Media Pvt Ltd (a joint venture between the Times of India group and BBC Worldwide), said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Considered one of the most prestigious awards in Indian cinema, the awards function will be organised in association with pan-India mobile operator Idea Cellular.

The nominees for the awards will be chosen through audience poll. An equal weightage will be given to polling results as well as a specially appointed panel of judges.

This year, too, the ceremony will offer power-packed performances and a dose of suspense and excitement.

It’s an explosive combo! Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor are going to hit the silver screen together again. The latest buzz in B-town is that Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will be showcasing their chemistry for Imtiaz Ali Khan’s ‘Rockstar’.

The male lead role was first offered to John Abraham who had also started learning to play the guitar and later to Saif Ali Khan who is already quite an adept with a guitar. But the final Rockstar is Ranbir Kapoor.

Also during the making of Love Aaj Kal, Rishi Kapoor was quite impressed with the director Imtiaz. He also expressed the desire that Ranbir and Imtiaz work together once.

Later, Ranbir and Imtiaz met several times and finalised the project. For ‘Rock Star’, Ranbir is said to be getting into the character in full gusto and would even be learning guitar as well. Good for him! At least he can play some music for Katrina now in the name of the movie!

The songs for the film would be composed by Imtiaz’s favourite and trusted Pritam. Seems like this on-screen Jodi is in demand more than Kat and Akkie!

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu had stopped appearing in public together leading to speculation of a split earlier. There were rounds of gossip buzzing that Bipasha has called off the relationship and that the two weren’t a couple any more. It has been really very long that John and Bips have been together in any movie or at public appearances, but to put rest to all the buzzing rumors, sources close to the actress reveal, John is now living in with Bips at her Khar residence!

According to her, this calendar is becoming better every year and is now of international standards.

Audiences are waiting with deep breath to see the golden jodi of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol to ablaze the silver screen again. Their much awaited flick, ‘My Name Is Khan’ is slated to release and the first look of the film has been unveiled in a grand way at Mumbai’s J W Marriott on Thursday.

Kajol and Shah Rukh graced the event in a black saree n a black suit respectively. In the film, Shah Rukh Khan plays the character of Rizwan Khan who suffers from aspergers syndrome. The movie is based on 9/11 terror attacks.

“It is very different from other KJO films” said Shah Rukh. Speaking about working with SRK, Kajol said, “Shah Rukh is like a bad habit. Once you work with him you are spoilt”.

Karan said that working with Shah Rukh is like a family affair. “It’s like working with family. Two brothers start a company, two brothers build it up and maintain their family and working unit together,” says Johar.

It was the 102nd birth anniversary of Late Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan on the 27th of November. On this occasion Big B with wife Jaya, son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya, best friend Amar Singh and many more inaugurated the English version of famous series of poetry called “Madhushala” written by his late father. The event was literally a Bachchan Sandhya where all the family members recited a poem from the book and dedicated it to Late Dr. Bachchan. Ram Gopal Verma probably feels like Ranning away after the huge controversy that’s been surging ever since that National Anthem remix (or whatever you’d like to call it) has been largely popularized over digital media. The censor board has decided to ban it because it violates some laws of the Indian Constitution. The lyrics are quite hard hitting, keeping in mind the nature of India today- the politicians, the poverty, riots, murders and so forth, a part of our beloved country. Even though it has lines from our national anthem, Ramu says its just inspired from what the national anthem stands for.

I’ve heard the song and I think its something every Indian can relate to. It might be an extension of the national anthem which was written by Rabindranath Tagore ages ago, but that’s exactly the point. It was written ages ago and now things are different. So what if Ramu decided to tell the truth? We’re a democracy after all, aren’t we?

As we read this morning in a tabloid, Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzanne Roshan had split. Now all the rumours that we’ve been hearing about Hrithik and Barbara Mori getting intimate on the sets of Kites were proving to be quite true. In simple words, Hrithik Roshan, the so-called loyal husband had taken the road to infidelity.

Suzanne apparently left her in-laws’ place and moved into her parents’ place just a few days ago with her kids.  But guess what. This is all untrue.

“It is too funny!! Yes Suzanne shifted to her parents’ place with the kids 2 days ago and I was to join her on my return as there is a white ant treatment going on in my house and a section of my floor is being renovated.

Lakme India Fashion Week is back and I’m gonna let you in one some really juicy gossip about it. Now before you start thinking fashion malfunctions, let me just burst your bubble. No, there weren’t any fashion malfunctions… yet, but there were lots of Bollywood celebs who stole bitchy glances at each other and we also discovered some new found lovers! (ahem ahem!)

Gossip no.1- Tabu and Nagarjuna (who is married, btw) were seen hand- in- hand and couldn’t take their eyes off each other. For those of you who don’t know, Tabs often drops in to Naga’s house whenever she goes to Hyderabad. I wonder what Naga’s wife has to say about that!

Gossip no. 2- Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor seemed to share some really cold vibes. Why? Well, the reason is stupid- Apparently Sonam stole Vidya’s seat during one of the shows! Uhhh… Grow up women!

Gossip no. 3- Asin was acting like Miss Attitude when all the photographers came to get a good shot of her. Yeah ok, Ghajini did well but how about staying grounded girl? Little did she know that Anushka Sharma was just about to steal the show!

Gossip no. 4- Katrina Kaif actually looked like a doll in the Barbie doll outfit. Poor Ash! The only thing she has now is Abhishek Bachchan!

Gossip no. 5- Deepika Padukone was ignored by EVERYONE! I have no idea why!

It’s official, Katrina Kaif is the new Barbie girl. Yesterday there was a statement released rubbishing the rumours that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was to be immortalised as the new face of Barbie. Apparently Ash was never under consideration while Kat has been in talks with Mattel for over 6 months. Besides Katrina definitely makes a nicer barbie. Who’d want an ice queen doll.

Katrina’s face will now adorn those of Barbie dolls worldwide. And the actress is for once openly flattered.
But are things all hunky dory with her Ken? Salman is apparently ready to settle down but he’s not sure if Katrina is the right person to do that with.

Katrina of course is unsure of why Salman is behaving so weirdly and hopes everything will be fine. I guess Salman’s having a hard time pinning Kat down and keeping her under his possession. Like with all his exes Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani and Aishwarya Rai, love to him means ownership.

And now that Katrina has been immortalised as a barbie doll everyone’s going to have a Katrina and my guess is Salman does not want to share. Guess life in plastic isn’t so fantastic.
Yesterday, at the Fashion Week, Katrina walked the ramp in a small pink dress like the one designed for the Katrina Barbie.Katrina is the first Indian to be the face of Barbie. With the Barbie image coming to the surface again, Katrina is somewhat worried about the bubbly-girl image that she’d like to change.

The doll’s look and dress were planned in collaboration with Kat. The Katrina Barbie will be launched in September.

Last night Shilpa Shetty and beau Raj Kundra threw a party at the Grand Hyatt to celebrate their Rajasthan Royals stake and the launch of Shilpa’s new spa. But were they also celebrating something else?

We’re taking a closer look at the pictures and people I believe we have been duped. Shilpa Shetty intentionally dressed in that gold bling bling outfit along with her chunky gold accessories to distract us from the main attraction. Her enormous gigantic rock on her ring finger.

According to today’s newspapers Raj apparently proposed to Shilpa on Valentine’s day. As cliched as that might sound it caught Shilpa off guard. Now that the ring is on her finger I’m guessing she said yes. When asked about the gigantic diamond ring Shilpa giggled excitedly,”Raj is so exceptionally sweet! Ya, we will tie the know, but not before the end of this year.”
