Aryan Vaid who was last seen sobbing on the small screen for co-contestant Anupama Verma after his eviction from the first season of Big Boss has moved on. The model turned actor will be tying the knot with American photographer Alexandra Copley early next year.

The actor was spotted hand in hand with his lady love at the recent television awards event. Aryan, known to be a ladies’ man has hung up his Casanova boots and is ready to settle down.

The two met at a party when Alexandra was on holiday in India. They met almost three months ago and have been inseparable since. After the whole Anupama incident he has been looking for stability in his personal life, which he’s found  in Alexandra. He proposed to her last month and she accepted.

The trend of models marrying firangs and moving away became prominent in the late 90’s with Madhu Sapre marrying an Italian, Ujjwala Raut married Amerian Craig Maxwell, MTV Vj Ramona married a french guy. All the above women dissapperaed at the peak of their careers to their spouses homeland. Wonder if Aryan is going to make Alexandra shift base or is he going to be one of the models who married a firangi and dissappeared from the surface of the earth.

After an eight year gap India created waves at the Miss World pageant. Parvathy Omanakuttan was crowned the first runner-up at the Miss World 2008 pageant in Johannesburg. Of course in the year 2000 Mother Teresa was no more and I assumed India was out of the running. But Priyanka went on the win the coveted crown.

Now that Deepika Padukone has made a clear n’ successful transition from modelling to acting, it’s only natural that she bid adieu to her extremely coveted endorsement contracts.
